Laboratory Resource Scheduling using LIMS - Webinar Available
One of the main challenges in running a busy laboratory is the assignment and tracking of resources. Many LIMS applications, while having the capability to link resources and tasks, do not provide overall resource scheduling and tracking. Orbis Information Systems has developed a LIMS module for scheduling laboratory tasks (e.g. jobs, samples, tests) with resources through a desktop calendar. This enables LIMS to be used for work planning, progress tracking and monitoring.
Webinars to demonstrate the features of this module can be hosted on request. During this presentation you will see how tasks are setup for a batch of samples or tests and assigned to a user with an expected duration. The user sees his/her daily work plan and the manager is able to track the status of each task, extend the duration or reassign a task. see more details
